Dear Readers,
(Background story for Hadrah Press)
I have a dream, that we will be able to connect with the language of our forefathers, our pious ancestors, understand what they understood, learn the wisdoms that they lived their lives with. All these are now stored and written in the books of our Jawi scholars.
On top of encouraging the relaxation of one's soul through the expression of creative works and poetry, we aim to provide access to the current generation who have lost touch with the Malay language, with Jawi works, with Nusantaran scholars that lived, breathed Islam in its most holistic form.
The dream for Hadrah Press is to be able to translate works like Penawar bagi Hati, Hidayatus Sibyan, Risalahtul Tauhid and many other Jawi works into English so that their wisdoms are not lost. And the new generation is able to experience learning the Fardhu ain knowledge of Aqidah, Fiqh and Tasawuf in an accessible way that would arouse their curiousity and interest to dive into the works in their original language.
For now, we are building up a community of poets, creatives, and of motivated students of knowledge to assist dakwah efforts in Singapore through promotion of the written works.
We do seek your prayers to ease our efforts and welcome your support for our works :)
For now, enjoy our first two publications; By the Way and Letters to the Beloved, and look forward to much more works in the pipeline!
Love and Light
